Iconergy is performing an efficiency retrofit under an energy performance contract for the State of Colorado’s capitol building and more than a dozen affiliated state agency facilities managed by the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration. In total, there are 18 buildings that comprise over 1,811,866 square feet.

Iconergy is performing an efficiency retrofit under an energy performance contract for the State of Colorado’s capitol building and more than a dozen affiliated state agency facilities managed by the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration. In total, there are 18 buildings that comprise over 1,811,866 square feet.

Phase I of this project was to retrofit all the buildings’ lighting systems to energy efficient LEDs. Future phases of the project are expected to include mechanical, controls, building envelope, and other measures that will improve the comfort, efficiency, and overall operation of the State of Colorado’s capitol complex. This turn-key project with a projected payback under ten (10) years, including a one-time utility rebate of more than $141,000.
